JAS Gripen over Libya

JAS 39 Gripen planes of the Swedish Air Force are participating in a reconnaissance role in the UN-mandated no-fly zone over Libya, Operation Unified Protector. Over 72,000 images have been taken with the Gripen's reconnaissance pod, data which is managed by technology from Spacemetric.

This is the latest image management solution developed by Spacemetric for the Swedish National Land Survey and builds on the same technology as the airborne image production system that was taken into operation during 2007.

SAAB selects Keystone to manage Gripen reconnaissance imagery

The Swedish defence contractor SAAB has selected Spacemetric's Keystone server technology to manage imagery from the SPK39 reconnaissance pod used by the Swedish Air Force's JAS 39 Gripen multi-role combat aircraft. Spacemetric's solution will provide rapid on-ground cataloguing, georeferencing and visualisation of the high-resolution imagery for use by intelligence analysts.

Spacemetric delivers airborne imagery production solution to the Swedish National Land Survey

Spacemetric joins Dutch defence satellite partnership

Spacemetric has entered into a development agreement with the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), making it a partner in the Netherlands Ministry of Defence Force’s Ground Support for Imagery Operations Project, GISMO. Initially, Spacemetric will provide a solution for the operational geometric correction of Eros-A and SPOT-4 satellite imagery received by NLR’s RAPIDS mobile ground station. Subsequently, Spacemetric and NLR plan to enter into a longer-term cooperation agreement.

Web Map Server delivered for ESA’s image catalogue

Spacemetric has developed a Web Map Server interface for the European Space Agency’s Multi-Mission Catalogue (MUIS) for satellite imagery. The MUIS2WMS project was won amid stiff competition in early 2003. The development lasted for 12 months and was delivered on time and to budget.
